Description
Sermorelin (GRF 1–29) is a synthetic peptide fragment of naturally occurring Growth Hormone–Releasing Hormone (GHRH). It acts on the pituitary gland to increase endogenous GH secretion in a physiologic, pulsatile pattern, making it a valuable tool in research on growth hormone dynamics, metabolism, and tissue regeneration.
Mechanism of Action
-
Stimulates pituitary somatotroph cells to release GH
-
Supports cellular repair, metabolic regulation, and lean body composition
-
Mimics natural GH release cycles, particularly during deep sleep
Dosage Guidelines (Research Use)
-
General Dose: 400 mcg, typically administered at night to align with GH peaks
-
Cycle Length: 8–10 weeks, with recommended off-cycle of 4–8 weeks
-
Administration Notes: Best taken 30 minutes before eating or 2 hours after, as carbs and fat can blunt GH release
Important Notes
-
Designed for research purposes only; not for human or animal consumption
-
Effects may vary depending on experimental conditions and subject response
-
Used in combination studies with GHRPs (e.g., Ipamorelin, GHRP-2/6) to evaluate synergistic GH release
Useful Information
-
Class: Growth Hormone–Releasing Hormone (GHRH) analogue
-
Primary Research Focus: Endogenous GH stimulation, metabolic regulation, tissue repair, body composition studies
