Description

Kisspeptin-10 (Tyr-Asn-Trp-Asn-Ser-Phe-Gly-Leu-Arg-Phe) is a biologically active fragment of the Kisspeptin protein that plays a central role in regulating reproductive hormone secretion. By stimulating the hypothalamic release of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), it increases downstream secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), supporting follicular development, ovulation, and egg quality.

Mechanism of Action

  • Stimulates GnRH release from the hypothalamus

  • Increases LH and FSH secretion, promoting follicle maturation and ovulation

  • Supports follicular development in natural cycles and ART (assisted reproductive technology) protocols

  • Can replace hCG for triggering ovulation in some ART cycles

  • Enhances egg quality and reproductive hormone balance in research settings

Dosage Guidelines (Research Use)

  • Natural Cycles / Follicle Development: 0.3–2 mg SC daily during the follicular phase (7–14 days), adjusting based on response

  • Ovulation Induction / ART Protocols: 1–3 mg SC single injection, typically 36 hours before ovulation or egg retrieval

  • Body Weight–Based Dose: 6.4–12.8 µg per kg body weight

  • Monitoring: Hormone levels (LH, FSH, estradiol, testosterone) should be regularly checked to adjust dosing

Important Notes

  • Individual responses may vary; start at the lower end of dosing ranges and titrate as needed

  • Designed for laboratory research use only

  • Not intended for human or animal consumption or medical use

Useful Information

  • Class: Hypothalamic regulatory peptide / GnRH stimulator

  • Category: Endocrine & Reproductive Peptides

  • Primary Research Focus: Follicular development, ovulation induction, LH & FSH modulation
